    The Royal Selangor Club, established in 1884 is a premier sports and social Club situated in the Kuala Lumpur. We seek a dynamic, motivated and committed professional for this recently vacated key position.
ACCOUNTS CLERK
  • 28 AUGUST 2017
  • We are looking for skilled part time Accounting Clerks to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks for a period of six months.
    The Accounting Clerk’s responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements.
  • SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:
    - Prepare bank reconciliations, deposits, general ledger postings and statements
    - Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
    - Update fixed assets register
    - Assist in Stores inventory monthly audit
    - Bookkeeping functions including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable  and accounts receivable.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Well organized
- Minimum Diploma, or relevant certification with at least 3 years accounting knowledge. Those  without qualification but with a minimum of 7 years accounting experience will be Considered.
 
As this is fixed term 6 month contract, remuneration will commensurate with qualification and experience.

MAINTENANCE EXECUTIVE

    - Responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and Facilities department including upkeep of buildings and equipment.
    - Minimum Diploma in Engineering. 
  • - Chargeman certification will be added advantage. 
  • - Working experience in Social Clubs, Service Apartments, or Hotel Operations. Able to lead and organize a team of staff.  
  • - Able to work on irregular hours ,during weekends and public holidays.
  • Salary will commensurate with experience and qualification.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE STAFF

- Responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day,
- which could include, but is not limited to: carpentry work; electrical; plumbing; painting; cleaning; flooring; outdoor landscaping and; 
- assisting the Club’s maintenance team to carry out  general facility repairs.
- Minimum 3 years experience

FULL TIME WAITERS/ WAITRESSES

The Royal Selangor Club has vacancies for Waiters and Waitresses to carry serving out duties in the various outlets in the Club.
- Responsibilities include taking meal orders, delivering food and managing diners in the Club’s restaurant outlets and at our event halls..
- Must be good at communication in order to accurately explain menu items and understand customer orders.
- Must be physically fit.
- Those with the enhanced skills and more than 5 years’ work experience may qualify for positions such as Bartenders, or Food services supervisors.
Minimum 2 years work experience in a restaurant, hotel or social club.
